Louise Killens, President

I have had the pleasure of being a board member of the des Collines Health Foundation since 2018.  As a physiotherapist, health care has always been my passion.  I have lived and volunteered in Chelsea for over 30 years and established PhysioSport Chelsea in 2004.  As the current president of the Foundation I can assure you that we are working diligently  to ensure donations improve the quality of healthcare and social services, here in our region.

Ned Ellis, Vice President

I have been working for twelve years to improve health care in the Hills.  It has been both rewarding and a lot of fun. a lot of good has happened.  there are new challenges ahead as health care transforms itself over the next ten years.

Patrice Guay, Secretary

I moved to Sainte-Cécile-de-Masham in 2021, and I am a physiotherapist working in Chelsea and Wakefield. Health is a passion of mine, and I am excited to help strengthen our healthcare system of our community through your donation. On my spare time, you can see me skiing, snowshoeing, biking and other activities with my family.

Amanda Dexter, Treasurer

I have lived in Wakefield since 1994 and been a volunteer with local community organizations for most of that time. I have served on numerous local boards as well as being the Wakefield school commissioner for many years. I have also worked in the nonprofit sector for most of my career. I believe the Des Collines Health Foundation is a crucial part of our community fabric and I am committed to helping them support rural healthcare in our region.

Joanne Khouryati, Director

A seasoned, multi-disciplined, dynamic executive,  Joanne has spent 25 years in the Federal Public Service occupying key leadership positions in the security portfolio as it relates to national, foreign, defense and border security. She has cultivated key partnerships, created and pivoted organizations and transformed business practices in an effort to modernize service delivery for Canadians. True to her nature, Joanne pursued her  passion for entrepreneurship and innovation by launching an AI-based start-up in security and facial recognition while living in Israel. Before joining the Public Service, Joanne was a policy advisor to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Sport. She has served on a few boards, including most recently, as a Director of the Chelsea Foundation, which manages the Meredith Centre with the accord of the municipality.  She is currently working as Director of Global Affairs  at the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation, a Crown Corporation.

Pamela Ross, Director

I was born and raised in La Peche, only to return as a young adult to raise my family here as well.  I am a Municipal Councillor and devoted community volunteer to compliment my 30 years as a political advisor.    Knowing all too well the impact that the Foundation has on bettering healthcare in our region, I am honoured to be able to give back to a community that has given so much to so many. 

Helen MacKinnon, Director

I have lived in Chelsea and been an active volunteer in the community for over 30 years.  My work experience has enabled me to engage in a bilingual environment in event planning, exhibition & project management at both the  local and national museum level.  My work at Maison Fairbairn House, Wakefield, a local not-for-profit organization allowed me to share my skills with the community.   As a Board member at the Health Foundation,  I hope to play a key role in broadening its impact in supporting  quality  healthcare in our area.

Pamela Falkner, Director

I have lived in Chelsea for more than 30 years while raising two boys, and enjoying all that this region has to offer. My full time career has been in Senior Management and Executive roles in private sector print and communications firms. Having officially retired last year, I am pleased to now be a member of the Des Collines Health Foundation Board, and look forward to supporting the work of the Foundation to improve health care in our MRC.

M. Parizeau is the representative from CISSS de l’Outaouais for the Des Collines Health Foundation.

Maureen Fehr, Director of Operations

Maureen joined the Foundation as Director of Operations in the summer of 2022, working with the Board, our CISSSO partners and 100’s of volunteers to develop and implement the Foundation’s long-term Strategic Plan and annual Business Plan. Maureen manages the day-to-day office responsibilities such as the Foundation’s database, charitable receipting, reconciling accounts, project requests and disbursements, community engagement, fundraising, marketing, event management, and the myriad of other tasks that keep the Foundation on track. Maureen lives in Chelsea with her husband and her dog Skoki who loves to get outside as much as Maureen. She finds it very fulfilling to work for an organization that helps the community in such a big way.
