We’re delighted to announce that we’ve funded another crucial piece of equipment for our hospital. As the hospital has only one elevator, it is essential to have an option in place to adequately serve the clientele safely in the event of elevator failure, as was the case in May 2022, when the hospital was without an elevator for the entire month.
Thanks to your support, the Foundation was able to purchase and install an elevator chair linking the 1st and 2nd floors, at a total cost of $13,000. This equipment will enable users to be moved under proper staff supervision, without risk of injury to both users and staff.
