PLEASE JOIN OUR GIVING COMMUNITY AND DONATE NOW
In partnership with the Outaouais Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSSO), it’s our job to ensure that increasing requirements in health care are met by funding projects and initiatives put forth by CISSSSO. The Foundation makes sure that your donor dollars are used to purchase much needed equipment in the establishments we support.
WE SUPPORT:
Two long-term care facilities
- the CHSLD des Collines in Masham (24 beds)
- the long-term care wing at Wakefield hospital (10 beds)
where residents receive the care they need while staying in the region, close to their family and friends.
Four community health centres (CLSC)
- Cantley
- Chelsea
- Masham
- Val des Monts
that provide medical services that don’t require a hospital visit – these services are critical to our physical and mental health as individuals and as a community.
Wakefield Memorial Hospital
Just last year, the hospital had some 13,000 patient visits – that’s about 42 patients each and every day, seven days a week.
The unwavering generosity and commitment of our valued donors has enabled the Des Collines Health Foundation to commit $259,000 to projects to equip the Wakefield Memorial Hospital, the four CLSCs and the CHSLD over the last five years.
We have recently committed to fund over $32,000 in new priority projects, such as:
- a motorized standing lift for the long-term care wing of the Wakefield Hospital
- a bariatric bed for the CHSLD
- portable blood pressure cuffs for the four CLSCs.
Wishing you the best of health,
Your Board of Directors,
